A Note from our CEO
At English Tea Shop, our mission is to lead a tea revolution rooted in organic farming and employee ownership. We’re proud to have earned B Corp certification, with a score of 117.8, and become 30% employee-owned. Our Creating Shared Value (CSV) model has laid the groundwork for a sustainable value chain, allowing us to work directly with farmers and suppliers. At the heart of this is our commitment to the Prajãva philosophy—‘community’ in Sri Lankan—which drives us to create positive, lasting impact.
This year, we further reinforce our purpose by introducing our Sustainability Ambassador, Daisy Bee, who highlights the critical role bees play in supporting the health of the planet.
Thank you for being part of our journey. Here’s to a future filled with progress, purpose, and the celebration of organic goodness—for you, for our tea community, and for the planet.

In this 2024 report, we openly address the obstacles we’ve faced, including the economic crisis in Sri Lanka and the ongoing challenges in the organic landscape. By sharing our setbacks and learnings, we remain committed to continuous improvement and accountability.
